Air purging sound ???

when i start my truck up every 5 tp 10 seconds it has this air purging sound for just a second long. But if I start driving sometimes it will be continous until i let off the accelarator pedel, but while it's making the sound the truck will feel sluggish while hitting the pedal. when I hit the pedal while I hear the air sound, Black smoke gushes from the exhaust. If i stay on the pedal eventually the sound stops and the truck jumps like it's free, then this will repeat itself for awhile, then it's gone til the next time it's cold.
anyone know what this might be ???????

It's your EBPV (Electronic Back Pressure Valve). It's normal. Helps the truck warm up when cold.
