Throttle issues

when you first start up my truck the throttle will not respond. i have to wait about 10 min. at that time the throttle will be responsive. does anybody have any knowledge of the whole fly-by-wire system?

Try changing your oil and see what that does for you...sounds like an injector problem...which could be due to thick oil. Also change your fuel filters if its about time (15k)....let us know what that does for you...

the fuel filter is brand new. the oil has just been changed. i guess i needed to be a little more specific. the throttle isn't sluggish or slow. it just doesn't respond at all. you could bury the throttle to the floor board and it would just sit there and idle. after about 10 min or so the truck will actually respond.

wow thats a duzzy...i wonder if your TPS and idle validation switches are going bad...they are located on your gas pedal. Do you have any codes...using a code reader?

i haven't tested the inside, but when i first got the truck there was no problem. then i cleaned out the motor area and ever since the thing has been all out of wack. someone told me that the throttle needs to be calibrated or something to that affect. does that sound right?
