Amplified cackling noise
After a highway trip about 100 miles last saturday, I slowed down and began to hear a completely new noise coming from the truck. This a very loud cackle-grind noise coming straight through the dash.. impossible to ignore, but drivability seems unchanged.
Has anyone had the same thing? If so where do I start?
Some background: I need a new 8th injector soon as told by the shop (its been running fine on it for a while) and my turbo is in need of rebuild- when oil temp was lower in the mornings, the turbo would make a painful noise like the comp wheel was contacting the housing slightly (it wasnt)
After this new noise started, the turbo grinding hasn't occured yet.
Any help appreciated
