starts then dies a few minutes later

this problem just started about a week ago and happens every morning.
starts right up runs a bit rough then smooths out. take it out on the road about 1/4 mile it seems to be starving for fuel twice it has stalled but every other time it's like having no fuel. then it regains power and it's fine for the rest of the day?
99 f250 7.3 standard 92245.0 miles

thanks for the help

could start with the basics. How many miles on oil? Check hpop resivoir, see if oils 1/2-3/4in from plug. Change fuelfilter. May need to do the HUTCH mod

99.5 x-cab 7.3l, 6spd, 161k miles.....

HPOP is your high pressure oil pump, it's in front of the fuel bowl under the plastic powerstroke cover, there is a plug on top of the HPOP reservoir, take out the plug it should be 3/4'' down, you might have to use a cable tie as a dip stick.
