Start problem

I think my truck is losing it's prime after it sits for a couple hours. It cranks fine and batteries are good. It'll crank and if I press the gas it'll start right up. This just started happening yesterday. Am I right about it losing prime?

"Prime" isn't really much of an issue with an electric pump though...

Here's what I would do. After it sat overnight you could remove the top of the filter housing and see if the bowl is empty. BUT it's more likely that what's emptying-out could be the HPOP reservoir (of engine oil).

There's a sm plug at the top of the reservoir (Allen Wrench). Take it out and "dip" the long side of the Allen into the hole, you should have oil at @ 1" down.

You could also try "cycling the key" 3X (15sec ea time) to allow the pump to really charge the fuel system maybe...

I agree with NoRalPh check the HPOP reservoir. And pushing the gas pedal should not affect starting, or are you saying you can hop in after sitting and push pedal to floor and it starts right up without problems?
