Blue Smoke on start up... is it a problem?

I have the common blue smoke on start up issue. It is noticeable for a minute or two in the cold and then it goes away. Is this something that I need to get looked at right away?

What are some possible causes of the blue smoke other than injector o-rings? I also do have a bit of an oil leak that I think is coming from the turbo pedestal.

Any help is appreciated!

It may be your intake air heater that is bad or had been deleted at some point. I wouldn't worry as long as it goes away. This is pretty typical for a diesel in cold climate. The cool air doesn't combust with the fuel as efficiently and cause the smoke.

My John Deere generators with 12k hours on them do it every cold morning then clear right up.
