New IPR with reman hpop and other ???

Hello, working on a 03 7.3. I am replacing the hpop with a reman.. should I install a new IPR? The store i bought it from said i should, but per the info on the reman hpop it says not to? also any tips? should the pump be primed? or it it bolt it up then fire it up?

You don't absolutely have to. It won't hurt anything to do so either. You could also re-oring the old one. There isn't a need to prime the new pump but it will take some cranking to build oil pressure back up. Best to make sure the batteries have a full charge.

Pull the allen head plug on top and dump some oil in there until it overflows.

Whatever helps you sleep at night. Personally, I don't screw around with used ipr's on new pumps. If you have the cash flow then buy a new one.
