How to read the SEL?

Can some one explain how to pull the cods from the SEL? I have the edge juice with attitude, every since the install the trans has been slipping and throws a SEL. It will go off shortly after if I drive normal, but I would like to pull the code if there is a way with out using a scanner.

i dont think you can withough a scanner but i remember when i had the juice/w attitude my tranny would shift funny but as soon as i installed the evolution programmer it fixed it right up... the juice unfortunately doesnt raise trany line pressure so it has a hard trouble adjusting to the extra power but as soon as you stack a programmer (doesnt matter which one) it runs alot better
