OBD not communicating with PCM

Hi

I have a problem with my 02 f-250 Powerstroke. I can not get it to connect between the OBD2 port and the PCM. I have tried with different scan tools but to no help. I can connect with the rest of the modules in the truck but not the PMC. Do anybody have any tips?

/Morten

Do you mean PCM?

does your cigarette lighter work? The one by the ashtray not the one beside the passenger airbag switch

Yep exactly.

Yes the cigarette lighter work. All the fuses relaying to the OBD and PCM is fine. I can communicate with the airbag control module, the chassis EMC and all the other EMC just not the PCM.

What scan tools are you using? These trucks aren't really OBDII compliant. There is only a handful of scanner's on the market that can read these trucks properly

Well I have tried a SCT X3 Flash scanner. And I have tried the scanner that a friend of mine is using at his garage. This can read all codes on my truck and flash the brain.
I have used my friends scanner earlier on my truck without problems

And the Edge programer that was installed in the truck cant communicate with the truck either

Ps I can still read all other codes than the engine codes.

Try disconnecting the batteries and then on one battery, touch the negative cable to the positive terminal and then reconnect and see if that helps.
