Smoking GPR
Had the hood up today and noticed with the key on and glow plugs warming up my GPR has smoke coming off of it, looks like from one of the large posts with power to it. It all looks hooked up right and if it wasn't I figured it wouldn't work. I undid everything and put it all back on, and it still does it. Looks like it is doing it when the truck is running also. Any ideas? Bad GPR? Something else? Don't wanna go up in flames.

I'd replace it.
My Stancor is in the mail too. |

When I replaced mine, the in terminal twisted off. When I looked, it was all burned under it and looks like it probably smoked at one time before failure from all the crude on the terminal.

time for a new one!!! You can save some change and go buy a generic starter solenoid anywhere, same thing...

Don't go cheap ,you get cheap.
For $45 get the Stancor GPR. It will last a lot longer, and you'll get peace of mind... |
