Truck not runing right! PLZ help!

So im sorry for posting cause the problems always sound the same but i need feeback.

stock early 99
manual

heres how it went down so i start my truck and i am going to get fuel and to another store with some friends. We get about a mile away from the drive way and i start to loose power so i pull over and shut it off. I go to turn it back on and it starts but it just knocks something horriable. Immiatly i think CPS but anyway so we got a can and put fuel in the truck to see if that was the problem and it was not. so if you start it it almost sounds even worse. so i get it back to my driveway and we replace the CPS and now the truck will crank and kinda start but it sounds even worse that before.

Any suggestions?????
Please help I need to get this fixed because this truck is my only way home from college.
Thank you for your time

If you turn the key on, you should hear the fuel pump under the cab.

On the back of the fuel bowl, you should see a yellow lever. Have someone turn the key to the on position while you open the yellow lever. Fuel should come out under the truck under high pressure.

It won't be a jet, but it should be under pressure when you open it up if the key is turned on. You really need to get a good scanner on the truck.

low fuel volume/pressure can cause a knocking sound. But without seeing the data stream, I'm guessing.
