OUCH that hurts. What did they say was the root cause? Find out if he bought it from Banks or a authorized distributer. If he purchased it from Banks directly, call the preson he delt with at the time of purchase, inform them of the issue, and ask if it's at all possible that this kit could even cause this to happen. He has to remove all doubt from the mods as a cause in order for Ford to pay for it. I have talked to a guy named Todd Payne @ Banks about a 6 Gun/Big Hoss bundle for my truck and he is extermely helpful. He has also informed me that even with this combo, which is the biggest / most powerful kit they offer for my truck, it WILL NOT effect any of the stock parts as long as I watch the gages. Keep us informed Ramsmoker and tell him good luck!

Stuff like that can make anyone want to scrap. I'm miles away from you and I would love to come and put my fists up to battle these crazy jerks!

I was sooooo stoked after the award call from the BBB I thought i should buy all you guys a drink from our virtual bar. Drink up my good friends. I belong to many forums since my problem started. Guess where I spend most of my time?? Here!!! This is the friendlyest fourm for Ford people bar none. It is fun chasing our own powerstrokekiller over at his home site cumminsforum.com.

hey guys I was wondering if I could find out how you got a hold of the bbb. Also which bbb did you contact. I had a head gasket failure that cost me $6000. about a year ago and I have been fighting with ford ever since. I paid the bill because I needed the truck but have hated myself for it ever since. I should have dropped a stick of dynimite in the front seat and ran like heck. I am considering conciliation court but it is such a hassel. I thank you for the help in advance!!!

I would get on the phone and call them. There's no reason for them to just sweep your situation under the rug. That's not better business.

The BBB really suprised me in there speedy responce. I filed online and in a few days had a reply w/case # followed by a phone cal from a case worker to explain how things worked. This was pleasent over all. The day of the hearing got me a little shook though. I was there in person and Ford by fax. I was 15min early with all my points of dispute and Ford's fax came in 45min late. You have 20min on tape to make your point and Ford faxed a 31 page report in that I was supposed to read and dispute within my allotted time. I think they do it on purpose. I started to try and read while stating my case but felt it was a losing battle for my brain. I found 16 points to dispute after words but I touched on most of them any way. I submited all dialog from start to finnish with Ford and my dealer. There inconsistancys and lies got bigger and bigger as time went on. The examiner in my case was a PHD engineer and appeared to see the facts thru the crap. I would really like to think this was not just luck and more people would get a fair shake with there warranty. I feel the axis of this type of dispute is the burden of proof by the dealer. In my case I asked for the old parts and was denied. So this was a huge advantage for me because the examiner at the BBB said, How do we know they were bad. I'm not the britest bulb but I do invite others to contact public or private
