Excursion won't start

2003 Excursion 7.3, went to start it two days ago, it turned over briefly and then the alarm went off. Acts like battery is dead. Pulled batteries and had them checked. both are fully charged. Any ideas before I have it towed in. Can't figure out why the alarm goes off. Alternator and starter are new as of August 2013. Thanks for any input.

Can I bypass the alarm?

My 6.0 Excursion has the PATS system (passive active theft system, alarm/theft) from ford. Some how my SCT tuner made it think it was getting stolen. It would not start or crank with the key even after returning it to stock.

A month later after trying every thing to fix it I found one post on the forums about the SCT tuners cause a no start because of the PATS. I had them send me a new tune for my SCT tuner with the PATS disabled. My Excursion started right up!

All my tunes have to have the PATS disabled and I can not run it stock. Doesn't bother me tho. I don't know much about the 7.3 but believe all the Excursions have the PATS system on them.

they also have something similar, and most aftermarket alarms tap into the harness and use this system to disable it...I'd find the black box under the dash and see the manuf. and call them just my
