My son's 2003 7.3 XLT automatically locks the doors after a short distance, but my 2003 7.3 Lariat does not. I know you can do some different sort of programming by switching the ignition key back and forth, crossing your legs and doing a shot of tequila:crazy:, but how about this function?:dunno:
It's not vital to my happiness, but I'm curious
Thanks-
Mike.
1. Turn ignition key on.
2. Press the power door unlock control three times.
3. Turn the ignition key from on to off.
4. Press the power door unlock control three times.
5. Turn the ignition key back on. The horn will chirp.
6. Press the unlock control, then press the lock control. The horn will chirp once if autolock was deactivated or twice(one short and one long) if autolock was activated.
7. Turn the ignition key to off. The horn will chirp once to confirm the procedure is complete.
Thanks again, I finally got a chance to do it this morning and it worked like a champ!
Mike.
