Cold Start - GPR - Solved

The GPR was giving between 5-6v.

Bought the western plow GPR for $12 and after 15mins she starts like WHOA right away!

I know there is always the debate on the Western Plow relay so today is 12/22/2013 and I have 156xxx miles on the old girl.

I'll give and update when I have to replace it.

It was negative temps all night last night here in Cincinnati. Got down to -7 at the lowest with wind chills in the -25+. This morning I went out and turned the key and waited to the light went off and then fired her up. Started right away!! Thank you $12 relay! (and properly working glow plugs) She was not plugged in either.

Just FYI...

The WTS light has nothing to do with the glow plug system, just a built in timer inside the PCM that uses air temp for a time...

The glow plugs can be on for as much as 90 seconds after the WTS light goes off.
