what are the symptoms of a hpop failure? My pickup has a wierd acceleration problem while stepping into it. it kinda acts like its starving out? only while driving down the road, not quite as bad from a dead stop... could this be a hpop issue or is it just a fuel pump issue? the truck has a reman from international in it with around 35000 on it... so i doubt the hpop is pooping already.... any ideas guys??? I'd really appreciate the help.

ok, i dont think i can start new threads because I have the free membership... I put it on a scan tool and the only things that popped up where the air intake heater-i took out... and the one that pops up when you have a programmer installed due to my hypertech... anyway- nothing that indicated anything to do with my issue... funny it happens right after I take out my edge w attitude... ? no check engine light, just a few soft codes... going to put some fresh diesel init, maybe I just have crappy diesel...

They will not always throw a code. You'll need to get a scanner that can monitor the datastream, not just pull hard codes.

EDIT: THis post MAGICALLY appeared. I wonder who did that....

Did you say the edge connected into the cam sensor????
If so you might have some kind of issue going on there, b/c cam sensors don't usually throw codes. But they will sometimes.
