Mine was doing the exact same thing. Light throttle it would do it, full throttle it wouldn't.
A vent line had deteriorated and quiet a few pieces managed to make it into the fuel tank. The fuel pickup screen was plugged along with the mixing chamber. Cleaned everything and did the hutch mod and cleared the problem right up.

I am having the same problem. I recently replaced the pedal assembly and thought maybe I got a defective part. I imagine this means dropping the tank to check?

I had a similar scenario last fall, replaced the fuel filter and all was good again. When did you last replace yours? Probably the easiest place to start.

What I ended up finding on mine was some wiring near the drivers side wheel well had rubbed the insulation off of one wire and when ever it would rain or snow the throttle would be inconsistent or not work at all. Fixed the wiring and haven't had any problems yet

My truck was doing the same surging under light throttle thing too> Come to find out the square engine harness connector on the inner fender well was all corroded. The pins inside were looking all green and funky. Cleaned all the female pins with piece of braided copper wire and male with a small brass brush. Sprayed the crap out of both pieces with contact cleaner and reapplied dielectric grease. Problem went away!!! I pulled my hair out for months and that all it was! 30 min worth of work!
