10K Mod Problem

So i decided to do this mod, and bought a crap load of different resistors. I started with a 22k, made a little difference but not much, tried a 10k, not really any difference from the 22, so i tried a 5k, still no change. I want it to lope a bit, so i try a 1.2k, still nothin. So i try a 500ohm, nothin, 50ohm, nothin, so i took the smallest resistor i have, a 1 ohm, yes thats right, 1 ohm, and guess what, nothin. same as the 10k.

Whats goin on here?

It really made pretty much no difference. I just went out and took the resistor off, and it still will puff just a tad bit of smoke if i rev it hard or stomp on it from a stop. I tested the actual power increase too. With the resistor in i turned the wheel all the way to the right, and mashed it and the inside tire would barely start to spin, i took out the resistor and its pretty much the same, just like 5% less if even. it might have even been the same.

Your doing something wrong...Make sure your inserting the resistor into the correct terminals on the icp...And make sure the ends of the resistor dont touch....Otherwise I would say that you might have an icp problem.

it was the correct terminals cause it was the bottom one and the terminal with the red/gray wire. And i went through like 8 different resistors, i made sure not to touch the ends together, which btw, what does touching the ends together do?

touching the ends of the resistor together would just bypass the resistor

oh, i thought you had to keep them from touching at all times even before you install it. So does it seem like i have a bad ICP sensor then? Im gonna go to the dealer tomorrow and have them run and scanner on it to see what codes it throws.
