2000 7.3 air leak?

When accelerating it sounds almost like a small exhaust leak. Almost like a ch-ch-ch-ch.. inside the cab. I don't know if it's audible from the outside or not. You hear nothing at idle but once you start accel.

This is on a 2000 F250 4x4 with 7.3
Thanks

Does your truck feel down on power, is there any black smoke under the hood. The turbos can come loose sometimes and can make that sound.

It's only when accelerating but not when I just casually speed up, it's med to hard accel. Let off the throttle and it stops. I don't see any black smoke, out of the exhaust nor under the hood. It seems to only do it when at higher boost but I can't really associate it with that because that's also when the rest of the pressures are higher.

Can't really pinpoint a location because it doesn't do it while parked, only when there's a load on the motor.

Also I can't really say it's down on power. It has power but I have only driven one other 250 and it was 2wd. In comparison the 2wd has a lot more power though, and my truck has a Hypertec Programmer.

Sounds wierd to me. The only time I hear air is when I let off the gas after accelerating from the Intake releasing the air from the turbo.

Yeah, I know that sound.. This is almost like what I heard when my car had an exhaust leak.. But I would think an exhaust leak would be louder on this truck.
