Will 2001 F350 7.3 work in 2000?
I own a 2000 F350 7.3 Crewcab and am looking at putting a new motor in. I have a line on a brand new motor but the sticker on the valve cover says 2001. Will this motor work and what changes will I have to make?
![]() Thanks for any advice. |

i think there were a few internals that were changed from 2000-2001 but other thank that its practically the same engine so you should be able to pull the old one out and drop the new one right in place

Powerdered Metal Rods. Talking about he connecting Rods in the truck. They arent Forged, so It will only hold so much power before you Window the block with a rod.
