2000 7.3 stalled, not cps

I have a 2000 f350 with the 7.3, it stalled while pulling a trailer out of town, it had no wait to start light and no tach jump. I threw in a new cps, nothing changed. I put in a believed to be good ecu out of a 2001 psd and now I have a wait to start light and still no tach jump. im a newbie to diesels and would greatly appreciate any suggestions you guys could send my way.

When the WTS light comes on can you hear the fuel pump turn on?

Do you have diagnostic equipment. I. E. AutoEnginuity or something to do a buzz test.

no I don't. also before the truck stalled the check engine light came on two different times. both when I was accelerating. but I hooked a simple obd2 scanner up (when the old ecu was in) and it said it couldn't connect to it

Mine ran rough then died and wouldn't start again. It ended up being the exhaust back pressure sensor. The one that's vertical in front of the hpop res. might be it.

If your WTS light is not coming on, you have no PCM power for some reason.
