Setting cruise controle turns on Wait to Start Ligh

Like the title says, when I set my cruise control the wait to start light comes on. Is this turning on my glow plugs as well? Its just making me nervous. It started after I installed a new HPOP.

The WTS light is controlled by the PCM as are the glow plugs and cruise control. The WTS light is not tied directly into the glow plugs in that when you see the WTS light, it may go off before the glow plugs turn off depending on temperature. If the glow plugs were stuck on, your alternator probably wouldn't keep up and you would see the volt gauge reading low. It is something that you need to look into. I would start by checking the harness really thoroughly for any signs of abrasion then I would start thinking about changing out the PCM.
