grrrrrrrrrr hpop!!!
well im about 3 drips away from the oil pouring out from under my truck!! there is no smilie face to describe what i feel!!! i am about 90% sure its the HPOP but im 10% sure its the pedistal oring. either way im out to have fun with this one. any suggestions i will keep checking here while im doing it. i stoped at a stopsign and as i drove away some one honked to tell me i was leaking something, that goes to show you how muck it it "dripping" well off to do no good

id try and be more than 90% sure its one not the other. neither one is the easiest to replace. the HPOP require the gear in the front to be takin loose by a bolt that has to be accessed from the front behind a little cover with 2 bolts in it and if u drop ANYTHING in the open hole it goes straight to the crank gear and oil pan.

thanks man, when i take that cover off and i get to where i can see stuff better i will be more sure off myself, im gonna replace the hpop orings and if it still leaks its goin to the shop and he can figure it out, i spent the $27 for the oring kit from ford and i want to make sure its done right so if this doesnt fix it the mech can have it

i cant remember if that cover is behind somthing in the serpentine assembly or not. everytime i did it the motor was out of the truck and didnt have any of the brackets or anything like that on it.

Well removing the HPOP is easy... if you want to do it yourself, let me know.
Make sure it's not the O rings before you go taking things apart though.

well im gonna just start with the orings. MAINTAIN i will def. let you know if i am gonna take it off and do it myself. if you have changed the orings before what do i need to know
