Can't deny it any more
Well, after a few times with the OD light flashing, and babying my rig ever since, My better half drove the truck today. She says it stalled when she backed out of the yard while changing gears (I think she wasn't stopped before she went from R to D, but I didn't think it would stall a diesel) And she now complained about it shifting VERY hard from gear to gear.
So, On Friday after I make it back in the southern part of the state, I'll be taking her to New England Transmission to see whats going on with the tranny. Just can't ignore it anymore. Maybe it's a crap shoot, but does anyone think having a dead battery still hooked up in the truck could be causing the unusual issues? If so, I'll go swap it out Friday with the new one thats sitting in the f-250. |

If your od light is flashing. You will need to take it to a trans shop. Have them run diagnostics on your transmission. When the Od light is flashing that is like your check engine light. The transmission has thrown a trouble code. Most OBDII code readers will only give you a transmission trouble code. How ever that code will not be specific to the problem.
