Got a problem with your PSD?
You can try 2 things before posting so you don't have to wait for replies...
You can check here in the tech files... http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=136 Or you can to to the black bar just above this box and click on "search" and then click on "advanced search" and try that way. Often times people will respond to you with a link to a previous thread where the problem was discussed, so you can take the oppurtunity to bypass the wait time by doing this! Happy findings. |

You might want to read the reply I got from sldghamr. The part guy at his dealer told him a different story. And, he says his dealer gets $32 for the CPS for 94 - 96 7.3L Powerstrokes. Good luck finding out the true facts. If you do, please let me know. I have a friend with a 96 that could use some accurate facts. THANKS!!! |

I'm new here and was wanting a little input... I recently found an exhaust leak on my '00 F350 7.3L Dually and went to the Ford Dealership for a quote to get it fixed. It's leaking from the exhaust inlet to the turbo "Y" on the driver's side. The mechanic told me that it wasn't just a quick "doughnut" gasket swap ant that the turbo has to be pulled, the "Y" and both pipes replaced and after $1100 it'll be good as new. Is he blowind smoke up my a@# or is he right. I have worked on vehicles for some time and can surely turn a wrench and after looking at the problem myself I think that I can pull the pipe from the bottom using a long extension and a wobble and pray that I dont snap a bolt. If the turbo needs to be pulled to do this repair, is there a kit that will keep this from happening again or am i stuck with oem parts. Any help will be accepted....Thanks |

i called my local ford dealer and asked them about the cam sensor recall. they told me to bring my pickup in and they would inspect and replace the cam sensor. they also said they would need it for about half the day.
