oil pan removal help

im trying to reove oil pan with out pulling engine,i have the engine lifted but not enough room.could i pull the tranny or lift the body. any help tips please.7.3 f250 ps

Bottom line is YES it can be done, but collectively it's easier to pull the engine and replace the oil pan.

There is a gasket sealer that has sit for 24 hours and it's easier to do while the motor is upside down, if not you need to prop it up and allow it to sit there.

FWIW, my first time removing the engine took all of 8 hours doing it outside in cold weather...

BTW - why are you replacing the pan?

thanks for the info. i think i will do that job.any hints on other things im going to run into also it is a powerstoke. is yours

Do what job? And yes, mine is a powerstroke - a 7.3.
