you mentioned "hard to crank over"...if it is one of those two it could be getting water in the cylinders which would make it hard to turn over (like if the batterys were weak) I would'nt recommend trying to crank it if you think its getting water in the cylinder...if theres enough in there it can warp a rod if your not careful!
