What is this?
What is the "output shaft speed sensor" and where is it located? I pulled that code today.

its on the top back of the tranny.....its a very long speed sensor. In order to replace it you need to pull the tranny crossmember and then drop the back of the tranny down as low as possible to get it all the way out...

I just had my tranny rebuilt! Does it mean it's bad because I'm pulling that code? |

that makes it easy...i would take it back to them!!!!

May wanna check to see if it's plugged in all the way too. I have seen that before after installs.

Is that supposed to be replaced

Usually not from what I have seen on rebuilds. Usually reuse all of the old sensors that are externally mounted.

if the prior codes indicated it should have been.....
take it back to them and kinda play stupid at first.....and if they tell you its additonal.....then spring it on them that you know more... the sensor could be good and thier install of the internalls could be the problem too... |

I just pulled a the code: P1754 solenoid circuit malfunction
The Overdrive light was flashing on the shifter today, and I just assumed it was the output shaft speed sensor code that I had pulled before, but I just checked it and it came up with the P1754 code. Do you know what that is? |
