High pitch squeaking

I have a 2001 7.3L turbo diesel Ford F-250 and when I start the truck I can hear a noticeable squeaking sound coming from under the hood. I think it might have to do with the drive/serpentine belt because it is coming apart and I am buying a new one but if you have any other ideas of what it might be I would love to here your thoughts.
