IPR NUT POPPING OFF

Twice now the nut has popped off in 2 days. Noticed it first when i was checking valley oil leak (again) Then again when truck died taking a right turn into work.
Im assuming there is a reason the nut is from stamped sheet metal. Maybe it is suppose to pop off when the IPR is failing?
If so could this be the reason my HPOP seal is leaking again in less than 9 months?

I think it just needs to be thin, therefore it came out "cheap"

It's not supposed to ever need to "pop-off", it only needs to hold the solenoid in place. If it were me, I would try to tap the fingers, that engage the threads, down again to respring the nut. Maybe ryt some LocTite?

take the appropriate sized socket, put the nut down on the bench, put the socket in it and whack it with a hammer and bend all the "Fingers" back out a bit, then re-install it tightly, Finger side TO the IPR...... and tighten it with a wrench, TIGHT.
