Humming when braking and steering

Just replaced the power steering pump because there was a humming noise while steering and braking. That did not fix the problem. Still humming. Def coming from the power steering pump. Any suggestions on what to do next??

Did you flush the fluid when you replaced the pump?

Re: Humming when braking and steering

I blew it out with an air hose. What do you consider flushing.

Mine does the same thing. I was told that that's a common thing on Fords. There's nothing wrong with it it just whines. Even if you replace the pump it may stop whining for a while but eventually it'll start again. No worries. Just annoying.

Mine will make a slight hum while turning, I only notice it when I am going slow in a parking kit when pulling in and out of parking spots. Never while driving above 10 mph. No vibrations, just a slight hum noise. Been wondering what it is as well!
