White smoke right after startup

I am a new diesel owner. I have a 2001 f-250. when I start it no matter what the temperature is I get about 5-10 seconds of white somke. Is this something I need to be concerned about or is it normal. Ater that first start up for the day it doesnt smoke near as bad if any.

I'm pretty sure that is normal, mine does the same thing on the first start in the morning.. i'm not positive, but pretty sure that is raw fuel. Here's a bump, either way.

The white is just burning off the moisture. In the morning or after sitting in the cold that should be about normal. Raw fuel would be black or at least dark.

It is just unburnt fuel! As long as it goes away after a short period of time it is PERFECTLY normal. Hope that helps ya. Dont worry about it. And Merry Christmas

On a diesel motor on first start up, expecially if it's cold and you don't plug it in, it's hard enough for it to start and it's going to have raw fuel. White= raw fuel or steam. When i pluf mine in in the winter time, i don't see anything because it is already warmed up.
