Hard to start!!
Hello everyone, I currently own a 2002 7.3 diesel. I have noticed this winter my truck is harder and harder to start as it gets colder. I live in cincinnati ohio so it normally averages between 25-35 here. I currently have 2,880 cca batterires which I keep plugged into a battery tender. I have noticed my truck is tough to start on somedays and my battery light comes on sometimes but just for about a minute or two. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

While you're driving around? The light just comes on and fades off now & then?
I gotta think it's an Alternator or the wiring/plug going to the Alt that would be the most likely. Give that all a good look, check where the wire bundle goes over the Valve Cover and around to the Alt for chafing maybe... You could keep an eye on the system voltage, with a meter, in the cab from the "outlet", if it does it often enough and see what's going on. Intermittent stuff is always a challenge
