7.3 fss recall?

Hi everyone, its me again. I have a buddy that has a 97 powerstroke and I heard that there was a recall for the fuel syncronization sensor? Does anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks i'd like to let him know.

also known as the CPS (cam position sensor). any Ford 1997 - 2003 with the 7.3 Litre Diesel is probably on recall cuz the sensor is too unreliable. although, the 1994 - 1996 7.3L Diesel uses the same sensor, it's not on the recall. right down the VIN and go to the Ford website or visit local dealer.

i have a 96er and mine went out a couple weeks back.

I called the dealer in my area and they said that parts will not be in until after Christmas. I'll be in there shortly after that to get it replaced.

just checked and my vin # comes up for replacement of the CPS
Ford recall 07s57
local dealer has the parts, have appointment set for Thursday
