01 F-250 7.3L Fuel Pump issue

I bought my truck brand new in 2001. I am wanting to replace the Fuel pump, but I am being told by Ford that my truck was built in Mexico and the Fuel Pump Ford pulls up is not the right one. They also say they have no cross reference for this pump. I can't be the only person with an '01 7.3 that has had this issue. PLEASE HELP!! This is my work truck and I am down without it.

just get a bosch replacement from rock auto cost me 85 bucks

Walbro makes a direct replacement pump also that actually flows more fuel if you have or are going to make modifications like injectors and tuning....amazon has that pump for about a hundred bux
