Darn Glow Plug Relay Puked

Well it finally happened to me. This morning I went out to start the truck and it would not start. I tried to cycle the glow plugs. I even have a timer I use set for 1 minute I use typically. But nothing would work this morning.

I hooked up my AE and ICP is 1700-2000psi while cranking, EOT reads 43*, AIT reads 40*. Then I tested the glow plug relay and it would click but not have any power on the intermittent side. I tried tapping on it and still nothing on the intermittent side. So I picked up a new relay from Kragen(Borg Warner) and it fired right up. I know Kragen is not the best relay but I will get one from Ford to carry with me. Power was working correctly when tested as well.

I forgot to let my truck cycle the other morning at 30something degrees out. Lucky me it started fine. Just took a few seconds longer. I wrote myself a note and put it on my dash. Glad you found the problem quickly!
