How do you remove computer

Have 99 350 7.3 ps. I think I have to take 3 bolts out from the firewall and it will come out?Is this correct? And is there an easy way to get to them?thanks for your help.

Yes 3 bolts I believe they are 10mm if I remember correctly. I used a 1/4 drive ratchet and 6 inch extension to remove mine. Before you disconnect the harness from the pcm make sure you disconnect the batteries. You have to remove both negatives from the batteries. I suggest you do this first.

yes they are 10mm 1 under the hood and 2 behind the e-brake.

yes I have to 2 out from under ebrake.But all i can do is move that end back and forth.I see 3 seperate bolts 10mm under the hood?

there is only 1 you need to take out under the hood.. if you look directly beside that you will see another black thing with a 10mm bolt that is teh one not teh one with 3 10mm bolts. hope that helps.

its on the drivers side . i know which 3 bolts your looking at. you have to look directly beside that close to the fender well side.

If you are installing a chip, make sure, as already said, the batteries are unhooked and key out of ignition. We had another member fry his PCM by not doing this, don't want it to be a second.
