Truck is surging and dying

I have a 2001, F-250, 7.3L. It all started a couple months ago with the engine surging once and awhile at highway speeds. It progressively has gotten worse. I've changed the cam sensor, had a mechanic look at it, and still can't figure out what is wrong. Now, it's just dying while idling. I have the bullydog tuner, and I've de-programmed that, and still having problems. Other than the surging and dying while idling, the truck has been running good. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Craig
