Unhappy stroke not strokin'

having problem w/ 2001 powerstroke. It has 150000 miles. All of a sudden it started running very rough. It would do it every once in a while at first but now is all the time. Now it will run for little while then get rough and die. Then it wont start back. If I turn key off/on few times it will eventually start but run rough. I changed cam sensor, inj. press. sensor,fuel filter, fuel pump, to no avail. I took lid off the fuel/water seperator and was barely any diesel in bottom. Turned key on and it filled up, put lid on. Started right up, ran for minute then got rough and died. Opened back up and was empty again. Have changed pump, what else could cause pump not to work????????????

Do you have a Fuel Pressure Gauge? Do you smell any fuel? The fuel bowl should remain full not sure if there is a check valve in the line or not. Someone who has done more fuel mods should be along shortly. Do you have a SES light on the dash? If so get the codes read and go from there.

did you check the wire harness for your injector just took mine to the shop cause mine was doing the same thing bad wire harness for the injectors $170 for the harness and gasket from ford

no SES light on and dont have press. gauge, may just have to take it in to get looked at. i just figured there was some kind of valve or sensor keeping fuel from entering seperator. also thought may be trash in fuel tank

OUCH!!!! That harness is $27 at International. Guess it could have been worse at a stealership!!
