EBPS sensor
2001 f350 7.3, cold air intake, 5" turbo back, edge tuner.
I just changed the cam position sensor (CPS) and the (EBPS) Exhaust back pressure sensor today cause I was having bad fuel mileage and read that it might be the EBPS and the CPS needed changed just to make me feel good cause I read it was a common problem and now I have a new one in and an extra one in the glove box.
my question is, before I changed the sensors I could not hear my turbo spool up (whistle) inside the cab but I did have some black smoke i'm assuming cause of the tuner. BTW, I have it tuned to the highest level the edge tuner goes. I test drove it after changing the sensors to see how it drove and now I can definitely hear the turbo spool up inside the cab but it doesn't seem to have as much power when I push on the pedal but it pours out black smoke, seems to be a lot more black smoke than before.
Is this normal or is something wrong with another sensor? I just replaced the injectors and had the turbo rebuilt all stock besides the tuner, intake, and exhaust. thanks.
