Weird alarm and Gauges died
I went to start the truck this morning and the Wait to Start light did not come on. I ended up cycling the key 3 times and it came on. I started the truck and jumped out to put out the trash. Jumped back in and left. Before I got to the end of the street, the alarm started chiming and the doors started to lock and unlock. I looked down and saw all my gauges were dead. Went back to the house and shut it down. Turned the key on and the gauges and wait to start didn't work. Checked fuses, nothing. Turned key on and it worked. Started truck and drove to work. What? Any ideas?

Alternator?
I was in Scuffy's truck this past weekend and the ABS light came on, the clock quit working, the gauges all went to nothing and then we had a bigger problem that was unrelated to that which ended our ride. He thinks it's the alternator which was doing those quirky things in his truck. |

It almost sounds like your ground wires from the batts are loose. Check and tighten, plus check your fuse box grounds.
