Question Questions / comments

I am fairly new to the diesel market, so I have a few questons / comments.

I have a 2001 F350 4x4 crew cab 7.3L with 170,000 miles.
It has a 4" turbo back MBRP exhaust, AFE stage 2 intake, and Edge Juice with Attitude monitor.

I tow a 34ft 5th wheel which weighs around 14,000lbs.

To say I have been dissapointed with my upgrades is probably an understatement. Specifically, my egt's are super high, no matter what setting the juice is set at. I will be at 700-900 degrees city driving on the freeway even at the stock setting. When I tow, I can only muster 45-50 mph @ 1275 degrees on a 6% grade. I have never gotten over 16lbs of boost.
None of my upgrades improved mpg or egt's whatsoever, and I only noticed minor power improvements.

Am I expecting too much? Are my egt's normal? What kind of boost should I be getting? Other than an aftermarket turbo or bigger intercooler, how can I lower my egt's?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Scott

your Egt's sound about normal.... if it was me i would get rid of that edge juice with attitude and get yourself a custom tuned chip from tony wildman. you can get 2 different tunes for towing. your mpg will improve and your trans will shift a lot better
