Question Cruise control question

My cruise control works fine EXCEPT the resume function. If I tap the brakes while on cruise it disengages properly. However to re engage it has to be reset, the resume button does not return me to the prior speed. Any suggestions?

I assume it is the factory control on the steering wheel. Does the accelerate portion work? Does the truck accelerate when you are in cruise and you push the button? If not, you probably have a bad/worn contact for that button, a broken/grounded wire or that portion of your clockspring has gone bad. It's hard to say with electrical troubleshooting without getting in there and doing some testing.

I hope this helps a little.

cruise control

Yes the set / accelerate button works fine. That is the center button. On my truck the top button is the resume button. The resume button does nothing.
