Smell Coolant - No noticable leaks

I've done some searching and not finding much promising. I'm still relatively new to diesel mechanical stuff. I just haven't had many problems with my truck.

Recently, I've noticed a fairly strong smell of coolant from the drivers side wheel well. I've been checking the reservoir regularly and there's no lost fluid that I can tell. It may be weeping and I just can't notice a drop in the tank.

The heater works fine and there's no puddle or damp carpet on the passenger side. I've looked under the hood and don't see anywhere it's leaking. The only puddles I see are in the normal condensation spot from the evaporator. (It does have a puddle even when I haven't been running the A/C. Not sure if that's normal or not) I've checked the puddle though and it's water, no coolant in it.

I'm thinking I need to borrow a pressure tester, but are there any common things that I just don't know about or might be missing I should check?

Update, I think the water is coming from the evaporator. I traced it tonight and found water coming from the black round plastic case on the passenger side under the cowling. Does this sound like the evaporator?
