Hot Starting Problem

I have a 2003 f-250 7.3 - after running and hot I will turn motor off and a few minutes later try to start with no luck . It will restart after about 15-20 minutes
Sitting. It has also quit while going down the highway , only starting after sitting for 15-20 minutes. My mechanics wants to replace the high pressure fuel pump and regulator ($1500). A. New CPS has been installed.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

There is no high pressure fuel pump on these engines. It is a high pressure oil pump(HPOP).

Do you have any codes?
