fuze question

I was looking at a 99 F350 a local guy is selling, when i was checking under the hood i noticed the wire that runs along the top of the fire wall in the engine bay is missing the fuze. I think it connects to at leat one of the batteries but maybe both i can't tell. I remember seeing the wire on my other 99' f350 but never looked at the fuze. He said the fuze kept blowing so he just stopped replacing it. Everything seems to work fine, so does anyone know what this wire might be for? Also i can't find in the manual any info on what size fuze it is supposed to take?

does it appear to be OEM wiring ?

and your saying it's an inline fuse holder missing the fuse correct?

Yes sir, it's factory wiring with an in-line fuze holder. he said he took the fuze out a couple years ago after it kept blowing it, he said he had never noticed anything that don't work without it and i couln't find anything that doesn't work. I looked at it again and it goes fron the starter solenoid back to the firewall then "looks" like it follows the firewall to the drivers side from there i can't tell where it goes.
