2000 f250 Parking lights on constant help

The truck has had the "ghost" ding with the key out while door open for years.
This is now a back up vehicle so been sitting for a while. with my 05 down with an inj I pulled this one out and put hot batteries on it and took it to town.
On the way home I noticed the dash lights were on with the lights off. Didnt think anything of it. Came out of shop later that night to see the parking lights on. lights are switched off, key out. Has anyone seen this or have a suggestion as to where to start?
