Glow plug relay issue

In case someone gas by chance ran across this before....

Glow plug relay was bad....up in the hills and got cold so touched a piece of metal across points to get glowplugs going....held too long and heard a pop like almost a back fire...truck started and ran great....got home and bought new relay and installed...truck didnt run good at a certain rpm range when pedal mashed(maybe 1500-2000k rpm).... Took two smaller wires off glow plug relay and truck runs great...put wires back on annd same thing...even went and got another relay and have same results...

... I also have little tick tick tick tick( fast repeating) and you can feel it a little through the steering wheel and floor board... Doesnt happen all the time and seems to be more when at a stop or almost at a stop. Not sure this is related to the glow plug issue though.

Any help is greatly appreciated
