GEM issues, No 4wd, Need Help please
Just recently had my heater core go out of my 4wd 2002 F350 PSD. Equipped with Auto tranny, ESOF and electric everything Lariat package.
When the heater core went, it smoked my GEM module, made my 4x4 and 4lo lights come on in the instrument panel, also made my backup alarm "off" light come on on the push button next to the 4wd ESOF switch.
4wd wouldn't engage, as you would expect (really no other issues).
My code on my GEM was 2c3t-14b205-AA. Got a used one off ebay for $70 that was supposed to work. IT came out of a 2003 f350 4wd, the code on it is 3c3t-14b205-AB, it was equipped with ESOF also.
Installed new gem and nothing, NO lights, no 4wd. Checked fuses and the only one that is blown is the big 20 amp trailer charge (deep, box shaped head with see thru plastic window). Plan on replacing that, but pretty sure it's not the problem.
SO... does anybody know if the one I got will work and i just need to pay a local stealership to program it, or do i need to get another one, and which would be easier on the wallet.
