ignition lock cylinder stuck
Managed to turn a simple problem into a difficult one...
Had a problem with the multifunction switch, turned out to be just loose connectors. In the process though, removed the lock cylinder and all that, put it back together with the steering column covers off to test it out. Cylinder went in smoothly, all electrics work fine but it appears the key won't turn quite far enough to engage the starter.
So I think I put the thrust washer in wrong. The washer and gear came out with the cylinder in a heap and I thought I had the reassembly correct.
Big issue is now I can't get the darn cylinder back out, can depress the little stud and the cylinder moves a tiny amount, but no amount of pulling and cursing gets it any further.
New cylinder is only $20 so maybe last resort is to drill and cut it out and put a new one in? Any ideas are welcome before going that route. And, anyone have a pic or diagram of how the gear and washer is supposed to go so I don't frick this up again? Thks.
